Role:

To lead activities and assist in developing activity calendar. May perform personal care as outlined in the plan of care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ability to lead groups of people in activities and assist in the development of the activity calendar
• Knowledge of meal preparation and feeding techniques
• Ability to document care, observations, and interventions
• Perform routine household care such as laundry, dusting, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning kitchen and bathroom counters
• Perform all aspects of personal care and hygiene
• Utilize knowledge of proper and safe techniques with regards to ambulation, transfer, positioning, ROM and universal precautions

Knowledge & Skills:
• Utilize good judgment in all aspects of the job
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times with others
• Must be flexible to work in other locations if needed

Educational/Training Requirements

Certifed Nursing Assistant License in the State of Florida. Valid Driver's License in the State of Florida.

Experience Requirements

One or more years' experience with a frail or elderly population. Home health, hospice or activity experience is preferred.

Position Specific Responsibilities (not all inclusive)

To lead activities and assist in developing activity calendar. May perform personal care as outlined in the plan of care.

Adhere to written activity calendar and duty chart prepared by Center Manager and/or the Recreational Therapist.
Ability to lead groups of people in activities
Ability to assist in the development of activity calendar
Knowledge of meal preparation and feeding techniques.
Ability to recognize and communicate needs of patients and family to appropriate staff.
Ability to document care, observations and interventions.
Ability to perform time management and organizational skills.
Ability to perform routine household care such as laundry, dusting, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning kitchen and bathroom counters.
Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times with others, e.g., co-workers, management, vendors, and customers.
Complete all job responsibilities in a thorough and complete manner, utilizing good judgment in all aspects of the job.
When unsure of a directed task or any part of job responsibilities, proactively seek the assistance of immediate supervisor.
Ensure job responsibilities are met, including attendance requirements and prompt arrival at work.

For CNA:
Perform all aspects of personal care and hygiene according to Organizational Policy and Procedures.
Utilize knowledge of proper and safe techniques with regards to ambulation, transfer, positioning, ROM and universal precautions.

Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times with others, e.g., co-workers, management, vendors, and customers.

Consistently represents Hope with integrity and professionalism.

Complete all job responsibilities in a thorough and complete manner, utilizing good judgment in all aspects of the job. Carry out duties and responsibilities in a manner that exemplifies excellent customer service.

When unsure of a directed task or any part of job responsibilities, proactively seek the assistance of immediate supervisor.

Assist with special projects, as requested.

All other job duties as may be assigned.
