The purpose of the Production Supervisors role is to supervise the day-to-day activities of an hourly production team for a single product line to ensure manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost and wastage targets; and quality standards. The supervisor will coordinate training, enforce safety guidelines, and interface with other departments in support of production. Your Day-to-Day:<ul><li>Supervise, train, and provide direction to production team</li><li>Plan and schedule the utilization of equipment and maintain maximum productivity levels</li><li>Investigating root causes issues that are related to scrap, process excursions, quality complaints and or fire investigations</li><li>Ensure production team understands complies with established operating systems in safety, environmental, quality and process controls and the company's overall policies</li><li>Utilize key operating indicators for control of product cost, material usage, machine downtime, expenditure control and other shift functions</li><li>Accurately submit hours worked to payroll for all production employees in a timely manner</li><li>Transmit production performance statistics to Production Shift Leaders, Maintenance, and Superintendent and make recommendations for improvement</li><li>Prepare labor, material and equipment usage reports</li><li>May be required to perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul>What You Bring to the Team: <ul><li>High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Ability to work a 12-hour shift (2-2-3 schedule)</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of production processes</li><li>Strong aptitude for learning and understanding company policies</li><li>Solid understanding of OSHA regulations</li><li>Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook</li><li>Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems</li><li>Strong leadership skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment</li><li>Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust mist gas fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.</li><li>Minimal travel required 0 – 10 days per year</li><li>May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds.</li><li>Incumbent must be physically able to perform essential job functions.
