The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the part-time position of Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor for the Dickson Campus.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN within the last five years OR two (2) years of experience as an RN within the last five (5) years and 24 credit hours toward a higher degree in nursing.</li>
<li>Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.</li>
<li>Current Registered Nurse license in good standing in the State of Tennessee.</li>

<li>Must possess the communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher.</li>
<li>Must show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude.</li>
<li>Must be willing to remain current in the nursing profession.</li>

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp; The part-time Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor is responsible for teaching and supervision of nursing students in on-campus classroom/lab and off-campus clinical settings; evaluating and advising students; maintaining records and completing reports; participating in the development of the program, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Health Careers. This part-time position will average 18-24 hours per week Monday through Friday and is not eligible for benefits. Most scheduled hours will be for student supervision off-campus at clinical sites, but some classroom teaching may be required. Clinical hours may vary based on the needs of each site. This is not a remote teaching position.
SALARY:&nbsp; $32.00 per hour. Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology -- Dickson guidelines.

Title: Instructor, Industrial Process Control Technology – 9/10 Month (Term)
POSITION SUMMARY This is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction on topics in Industrial Process Control Technology in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, faculty are expected to teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold in person and virtual office hours as defined in College Policy. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success. Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities.
Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on weekends. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions. Administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Actively participate on divisional and institutional committees. Collaborate in building and maintaining relationships within and beyond the institution. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree in Technology or related field
NCCER certification or four years’ industry experience in industrial process control technology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Technology or related field
NCCER certification or four years’ industry experience in industrial process control technology
College-level teaching experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and needs of student populations. Practical application and industrial craft experience.

Rate of Pay: $42,163 to $52,703 annually, depending on experience
