We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a 1st Shift and a 2nd Shift NDT Penetrant Level II within our Qualityteam to help support our Aerospacebusiness.  At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interactions.  How high are our quality standards, you ask?  So much so, that we have products on-board the Space Launch System with NASA, as well as the F-15 and F-35 fighter jets!  If you join our team, your work will ensure families across the world fly a little safer, wherever their travels may take them.

As a NDT Level II you will have the opportunity to performs liquid penetrant and visual weld inspections.  The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative and values challenging work.

We, at Valley Metals, a Leggett & Platt company, are searching for a 2nd Shift NDT Penetrant Level II within our manufacturingteam to help support our Aerospace business. 

So, what will you be doing as a NDT Penetrant Level II?

  • Performs Liquid Penetrant and Visual Weld inspection.
  • Processes hardware in accordance with internal, customer and/or industry requirements.
  • Performs level I duties in addition to level II duties.
  • Evaluates and interprets the quality of applicable fusion welds to meet company and customer specifications.
  • Supports other NDT personnel.

  • Qualifications are based on NAS 410.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the scope and limitations of NDT methods.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
  • Experience with stainless steel alloys, titanium, aluminum.
  • Familiar with NADCAP audits.
  • Must pay close attention to detail and be accurate.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal interface across organizational levels.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of ASNT Level I and II courses.
  • Requires documentation demonstrating completion of at least the minimum hours of formal training and experience for each NDT method requiring certification. These hours are required to meet the minimum requirements of NAS 410 rev. 5. Candidates familiar with NAS-410, AWS, ASTM, Boeing SLS and swab etching experience a plus.

Pay Range:  $26.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule:  Days:  Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm; Full-time, 40 hours per week

                               Afternoons:  Monday - Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm; Full-time, 40 hours per week
