Position Summary



The University of Southern Indiana seeks applications for a 10-month instructor in Nursing. The instructor in Nursing position is renewable and non tenure track.

Position begins Fall 2024 or when filled.

This advertisement will run concurrently with Assistant Professor of Nursing (Not Specialized) - 493406 and Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing (Not Specialized) - 493414. However, only one position exists and only one candidate will be hired between the advertisements. Duties/Responsibilities 



This position will assume classroom teaching responsibilities as well as clinical supervision of students in the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.







Required Knowledge and Skills



To qualify for the instructor position, a Master’s degree in Nursing is required. All candidates must hold a valid and unencumbered Indiana (or compact) RN license.

About the College



The faculty in the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions work collaboratively with nursing and other health care professional faculty. The support for faculty’s teaching, practice and scholarship activities are substantially enhanced through grants and other extramural funding. A cutting-edge Clinical Simulation Center is used to enhance student learning and support innovative teaching.

The college, in addition to university support, has a four-person technology team that supports the online and in-classroom teaching for the MSN and DNP program courses. A dedicated Advising Center for the College provides support for student advising and related activities. All programs are fully accredited and have an exemplary record of grant award successes.
