The Assistant Vice President Risk Analytics and Modelling role plays a vital role in the measurement and assessment of financial and non-financial risks for the bank.  We develop sophisticated models to provide analytical solutions and tools to quantify key risk metrics used to inform business decisions and meet regulatory and financial reporting obligations. This role will require innovation and thinking “outside-the-box” to explore new ideas and modelling techniques which can react to shifts in economic indicators, consumer behaviors, supply chains, market sentiments and customer business strategies. As an Assistant Vice President Risk Analytics and Modeling you will be responsible for development and enhancement of methodologies and models for estimating credit risk parameters (Probability of Default, Loss Given Default and Exposure At Default) for all relevant portfolio segments in a manner compliant with internal and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel II Internal Ratings Based - Approach, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review, Current Expected Credit Losses, etc.) and robust enough to support practical business decisions (includes reviewing, analyzing and documenting model development/implementation process).

As our Assistant Vice President Risk Analytics and Modelling  you will:

  •  Support wider team effort to develop credit risk models
  •  Support model migration/ implementation
  •  Support ad-hoc analysis to support business and other stakeholder requirements

At HSBC, our overall goal is to provide a competitive Total Reward Package, with an appropriate mix of fixed pay, and variable pay, as part of an employee’s overall total compensation and benefits. Variable pay generally takes the form of discretionary, annual awards (sometimes referred to as a “bonus”).
